On Sunday 16th March, Angels rewarded their top performers from the 2024 FUBA Division One season with a couple of goodies.

Angels, which was celebrating 10 years in existence, thought that their goal of playing had been cut short after being eliminated by Our Savior in the semifinals, but an opportunity came and they took it.

Our Savior withdrew from the league and their position was taken up by Angels after negotiations.

Despite not earning automatic qualification, Angels had a fairly good season.

They finished had the 3rd best record in the regular season and managed to finish 3rd overall.

Most Valuable Player – Namatovu Joan

Most Improved Player- Nantambi Melissa

Joan was the starting Point Guard for Angels and she helped control the game plus providing for her teammates.

He had a team-high 66 assists and averaged 8.6 points, 5 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 2.6 assists.

Nantambi was an impact player who averaged 14.4 minutes, 3 points, and 3.9 rebounds.

Angels open the new NBL season against UPDF Lady Tomahawks on Saturday 22nd.

This is a game that they believe is a good season opener for them and a victory here will boost their confidence.
