Sommet defeated the JKL Dolphins 76-59 in the season opener to get off to a positive and strong start to their 2025 NBL season.

After trailing by 16-13 after the first quarter, Sommet turned up in the second and blew out the Dolphins 30-11 to take a 16-point lead into the halftime break.

They were very active defensively and managed to force JKL into 8 turnovers in that time.

In the second half, JKL was always just chasing the game but never quite caught up.

Sommet’s Head Coach Albert Aciko had some post game reactions about his team’s performance.

“The boys have been putting in a lot of work at practice. The basic fundamentals of pick and roll, attack and shoot and it is what they executed during the game”

“Being very aggressive on defensive and getting stops is what gave us the victory today”

JKL Dolphins big men scored just 9 points in the second half and Coach Albert had some reactions to that

“We limited the points of their bigs in the second half and and every time we got a stop, we converted on the offensive end which was very positive for us”
