The KCCA Panthers maintained their perfect start to the 2025 NBL season after defeating Livingstone 67-50.
The KCCA Panthers are one of the two unbeaten teams in the NBL (men) this season (the other being Nam Blazers).
The Panthers came into this game on the back of 2 wins to open their season, their most recent victory being 60-55 against Sommet.
Livingstone had tasted the sweetness of victory in their last game after defeating the KIU Titans 71-59.
It was a low-scoring first quarter with the Panthers taking it 12-9.
Livingstone scored just 1 field goal and 7 of their 9 points were from the free throw line.
The offense from both teams increased slightly in the second quarter but KCCA still had an edge.
They took the second quarter 18-15 to take a 6 point lead at halftime.
The Panthers had a 9-0 run and made it a 12-point game but Isaac Akoal made back-to-back triples in the final minute to cut the deficit to 6 points.
Livingstone was fighting to cut the lead but for all they did, they quite got there.
They trailed by 4 points with about 5 minutes left but KCCA ran away with the game.
Livingstone scored just 2 points in the final 5 minutes of the game while KCCA scored 13 to win the game 67-50.

Livingstone now has a 3-1 record and they will be looking to better it on Sunday.

KCCA Panthers has a perfect 3-0 record to start the season and is the only other unbeaten team beside the Namuwongo Blazers.
They will be back in action on Friday 11th as they challenge the UCU Canons.
