The UCU Canons registered back-to-back victories for the first time this season after defeating the KIU Titans 63-46 on Monday 21st at YMCA.
After the victory on Saturday, the Canons were pumped and knew they had to take care of business against a ‘struggling’ KIU Titans team which is still winless.
To the surprise of many, the KIU Titans led the game 10-9 after the first quarter.
Both teams struggled to score the basketball with UCU scoring 4/15 from the field while KIU had 4/20.
The second quarter was different for the Canons as they scored 20 points, 7/20 FG.
On the other hand, the Titans’ attempts were reduced to 13 and they managed to score just 3 of them.
UCU led the game 29-19 and but it was still there for either team to take.
The Canons led by 14 with 4 minutes left in the third quarter but didn’t score again in the remainder quarter.
KIU made an 8-0 run to make it a 6-point game with the final 10 minutes left.
UCU made 5 3-point shots in the final quarter and also made a mini 7-0 run and 6-0 to balloon their lead to 17 with less than 5 minutes left.
They went on to win the game 63-46 and made it an even record for the season.

The UCU Canons now have an even record, 3-3, and have won back-to-back for the first time this season.
They return to action on Wednesday 23rd against Livingstone at Lugogo.
The KIU Titans have lost all their 5 games to start the season.
They will play 3 games this game week starting with the Rezlife Saints on Wednesday 23rd at Abja Park.
They will then play back-to-back games, against City Oilers on Saturday in Mukono and Sommet on Sunday against Sommet at Lugogo.
