The JT jaguars are the second most in-form team in the Men’s NBL and they moved to second place after their 55-49 victory against the Rezlife Saints.
Following their huge, 83-70, victory against the KCCA Panthers, the JT Jaguars wanted a follow up victory but it was going to be very tough, given how resilient the Rezlife have been this season.
The Rezlife saints led the game 16-13 after the first quarter but the game was end to end, promising excitement.
Both teams were not very efficient from the field in the second quarter neither amassed a significant lead.
At halftime, the Saints led the 28-26, with Kevin Moru leading the scorers with 10 points.
The third quarter was the breaking point for the Rezlife Saints.
They scored just 6 points in the quarter and only 1 in the final 5 minutes of the quarter
The JT jaguars used this period to get a 5-point lead heading into the fourth quarter and this was enough for them.
In the first 5 minutes of the fourth quarter, Rezlife Saints scored 0 points while JT scored 3 to extend their lead to 8 points.
Leonardo Gilabi missed 4 free throws in that time and that cost them a lot.
Kevin Moru scored 4 3-point shots in 3 minutes and won the game for the JT jaguars.
He finished with 22 points and the JT jaguars won the game 55-49.

The Rezlife Saints have an even record of 5-5 and are on course to making the playoffs.
They play their final first round game on Wednesday 30th against the Namuwongo Blazers at Abja Park.
