The UHA Easter Cup 2025 delivered thrilling hockey action, featuring six competitive women’s teams and twelve determined men’s teams, all vying for supremacy.

In the women’s category, a single round-robin format set the stage for high-intensity matchups.

Kenya’s USIU team emerged at the top, securing four wins and one draw against Wananchi to accumulate 13 points. Their compatriots, Tunza Sports U21, claimed the second spot with 12 points, their sole defeat coming at the hands of USIU.

The finals saw an epic clash between these two sides, with Lynn Mumbi’s decisive strike securing a 1-0 victory for USIU and crowning them champions.

The men’s category followed a different structure, dividing teams into three pools. Weatherhead topped Pool A with an unbeaten record, while KHC Stallions and Wananchi led Pools B and C, respectively.

USIU A claimed the coveted semifinal slot as the best second-placed team, with a superior goal difference. Weatherhead dominated KHC Stallions 3-0 in the semis, while Kings edged out USIU A with a narrow 1-0 win.

The grand finale was a spectacle, as Kings dethroned defending champions Weatherhead 2-0, thanks to goals by Abdul Karim and Shafiq Byamukama.
