JKL Lady Dolphins closed the first round with a 79-47 victory over Nabisunsa on Sunday 18th at Abja Park.
The lady Dolphins came into this game on the back of a 75-67 defeat to the KCCA Leopards the day before and needed to make a response.
Nabisunsa was on the back of a 22-point loss against 6-man KIU Rangers and they did not have the services of their star player Abigail Mpoza.
JKL limited Nabisunsa to only 7 points in the first quarter and they managed to take an early 12-point lead.
Nabisunsa improved massively in the second quarter and scored 16 points while the Lady Dolphins scored 21, 7 coming from the free throw line.
Auma Joy scored 10 points for Nabisunsa in the third quarter including 2 3-pointers but it was Tamsaha Nsubuga who tortured her former side with 9 points mostly through transition.
It was an impossible task for Nabisunsa to make a comeback in the fourth quarter and lost the game 79-47.
