Following their 41-28 victory against Amazon Rhino on Saturday 17th, Legends made it back-to-back wins after edging Kampala University 64-53, the following day.
Kampala University came into this game on the back of a 50-48 overtime victory against 7-man Watoto and this was an opportunity for them to better their season record.
On the other hand, Legends came into the game having registered their first victory the day before and their confidence of securing a positive result was high.
After the first quarter, Legends led the game 18-13, Franceas Nabulobi scoring 9 points in that time.
Despite having 7 less field goal attempts than Kampala University, both teams scored the same number (6) and Legends had higher field goal conversion, 31% to K.U’s 23%.
The teams were neck and neck in the second quarter finishing with 13 apiece. Despite come very close, Kampala University was unable to tie to take the lead in the game and Legends managed to keep them behind.
The game broke open for Legends in the third quarter.
Franceas and Monica Siima scored consecutive triples and Legends carried on with the momentum throughout the remainder of the quarter.
They made a 15-4 run to establish a 15-point lead, their largest, and this cushion was enough for them to see out the game.
Coming into the final quarter, K.U was trailing by 9 points and one could say the game was still open but considering their offense in the previous games, it was going to be hard to see them make a comeback.
They scored 4 quick points in the first minute of the final quarter but went scoreless for the next 3 and Legends took the lead back to double digits.
Bridget Kalanguka scored a huge 3-point shot and 7 total points which turned out to be very crucial.
Legends managed to hold on and secure a 64-53 victory, their second of the season.

They face Seeta High next on Saturday 24th at UCU Kampala campus and Amazon Rhino on Sunday 25th at Hamz stadium.
Legends have a 2-3 record and will seek to even in on Sunday 25th when they face off against the YMCA Lady Hamstars at Hamz Stadium.
