The Makerere Sparks were very unsatisfactory on the offensive end as they fell to the unbeaten YMCA Lady Hamstars 45-32 on Sunday 18th at Hamz Stadium.
This was the second successive defeat for the Sparks this weekend after having fallen to the Pearl Queens the day before.
The sparks combined for 17 points in the first 3 quarters and scored less than 10 in each of them.
Despite not having be best of the performances, the YMCA Lady Hamstars led the game 33-17 heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth quarter, the Sparks scored 15 points but 8 of them came late in the game when it was already too late.
Rose Adhiambo scored more than half of YMCA’s points and she seemed unstoppable every time she made a drive to the basket.
The Sparks got very many attempts in transition but somehow, they kept missing when when alone and this hindered their progress in the game.

They play back-to-back games the following weekend: Against Kibuli on Saturday 24th at UCU Kampala campus and Legends the following day at Hamz Stadium.
The Makerere Sparks have had an up and down start to the season and have a 2-3 record.
They face the JT Junior Lady Jaguars next on Sunday 25th at Hamz Stadium and this will be an opportunity to even their season record.
