The UMU Flames put up a good second half performance as they came from down 10 points to defeat the Tropical Royals 63-55 on Sunday 18th at Hamz Stadium.
UMU came into this game as the favorites, having won 3 straight and they led the game 16-12 after the first quarter.
However, in the second quarter, the situation turned around.
The Royals knocked down 5 3-point shots and led by as many as 10 points although UMU cut it down to 5 as the half winded down.
In the third quarter, UMU took a hold of the game.
They made a 15-2 run and led by as many as 8 points and most importantly, they had the momentum.
It was a uphill task for Tropical to get back in the game and after scoring just 1 point in the first 2 minutes, it looked even harder despite being close.
UMU made a couple of baskets in transition and they always kept an arms distance between them and the Tropical Royals.
In the ends, they managed to win 63-55 to secure their fourth victory of the season.
