U18 sensation Brighton Galiwango was the star performer as he scored 35 points to help Vegetarian defeat Governors 82-74.

Galiwango was part of the U18 team that qualified and played at the FIBA U18 African Championship in South Africa.

He is a very ambitious young man and has been seeking opportunities to get playing time, show his skills, and grow in the game.

He made his season debut on Saturday 17th as Vegetarian faced off against the Gulu Hawks at UCU Kampala Campus.

Brighton was very impressive as he registered a game-high 9 assists, 15 points, 5 steals, and 4 rebounds to help his team win 56-47.

The following day, he was on fire, virtually unstoppable as he terrorized Governors.

Almost every time he attacked the basket, it was going to be a basket.

He scored 10 of 13 2-point attempts and finished with 35 points, a season-high in NBL, Division One and Division Two combined.

Galiwango registered 35 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 7 steals and most importantly, he played all 40 minutes.

Vegetarian won the game 82-74 to make it their third consecutive victory.

Vegetarian is a team that wants to qualify for the FUBA Division One and with a youngster like Brighton Galiwango, they have a gem.

Hopefully, he can continue to grow his craft and elevate his level.

Vegetarian take on Metha Phenoms next on Saturday the 24th at KIU Kansanga.
