The Namuwongo Blazers registered their 12th win of the season after edging the JT Jaguars 81-71 to maintain 100% record.
The Jaguars came into the game on the back of 2 defeats in their final games of the first round.
A win would have limited their spirits and confidence but they were up against the Namuwongo Blazers who are yet to lose a game this season.
The Jaguars led the game 19-15 after the first quarter.
They scored 8 unanswered points to start the game but the Blazers picked up and put some points on the board.
It was different ball game in the second quarter as the Namuwongo team showed out.
They kept creating for each other, giving up good shots for great shots and their scoring efficiency improved greatly.
Namuwongo scored 5 3-point shots in the second quarter alone and they had a total 26 points to 19 for JT.
As a result, they went into the third quarter with the lead, 41-38 and at this point, it was very hard to imagine them losing the game.
Namuwongo led by as many as 14 points in the third quarter but the Jaguars were still in the game and kept chipping away the deficit.
By the end of the third period, they trailed by just 8 points and still had a lot to fight for the fourth quarter.
Namuwongo scored just 1 point in the first 3 minutes of the fourth quarter but the Jaguars also scored just 5 and they still trailed by 4 points.
Despite the game being close, Namuwongo looked to be in control of the situation and they managed to see off the game with a 81-71 victory.
