The UPDF Lady Tomahawks registered their first ‘big’ win against a side above them after overcoming the Magic Stormers with 49-37 victory.

The Stormers finished in the top four after the first round and having registered a 16-point win against the army side in round one, many thought this would be an easy victory for them.

However, it wasn’t the case and the UPDF Lady Tomahawks managed to register their first ‘big’ win of the season.

The first quarter ended in a 9 all tie but UPDF had tbe edge in the remainder of the 3 quarters.

They limited to the Stormers to just 6 points in the second quarter and took a 5-point lead at halftime.

Magic Stormers couldn’t generate any kind of offense in the second half and in the final 5 minutes of the game, they scored 0 field goals.

This was the ‘worst’ offensive game that the Magic Stormers have played this season and it is no wonder that they lost.

This victory puts UPDF in a very comfortable position in regards to sealing the final playoff spot.
