Hope Akello delivered yet another masterclass as the JKL Lady Dolphins overcame Nabisunsa with a 78-57 victory.
Akello registered 23 points, 22 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals to help the Dolphins against a side that proved difficult to crack.
In the first quarter, JKL took the game by storm, leading 23-12.
However, just like in their previous game against the Magic Stormers, their second quarter was low offensively as they only scored 13 points to make it 36-27 at halftime.
In the third quarter, it was the Hope Akello and Mpoza Abigail show.
Hope scored 11 of JKL’s 17 points while Mpoza Abigail scored 10 of Nabisunsa’s 18.
The 2 stars kept their teams afloat and despite JKL making it a 15-point game, the high school side cut the deficit to 8 points as the third quarter closed.
Nabisunsa cut the deficit further, down to 3 points in the fourth quarter but in the remainder of the game, JKL showed their experience and managed to close.
They limited Nabisunsa to just 7 points in the final 8 minutes while scoring 25 of their own to win the game 78-57.
