For many, just like myself, you must be wondering, what is an Exhibit 10 contract?

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, minimum salary agreement that is not guaranteed but can include an optional bonus of up to $75,000 that will be rewarded if a player, after he’s waived, spends at least 60 days with a team’s G League affiliate.

What is the purpose of the Exhibit 10 Contract?

This contract helps teams to bring in players to compete in the Summer League for a spot on an NBA team or its G League affiliate.

Teams can have up to 6 exhibit 10 contracts at a time.

Can an Exhibit 10 contract turn into a standard NBA contract?

An Exhibit 10 contract can then be converted into a two-way contract, which now makes the bonus money guaranteed.

If a player on an Exhibit 10 contract is kept on the 15-man roster past the start of the regular season, his contract becomes a standard minimum deal.

What is a two-way contract?

A two-way contract in the NBA allows a player to split their time between an NBA team and its G League affiliate.

Players on two-way contracts can spend a limited amount of time with their NBA team (up to 50 games) while the rest of the season is spent with the G League squad.

These players are not eligible for postseason play, but organizations can elect to sign the player to a guaranteed contract with the main club.

What is a standard minimum contract?

This is a contract between an NBA team and the player for the minimum amount.

However, contrary to a two-way contract, a player on this can play for more than 50 NBA games and can play in the playoffs.

Will Kaluma play in the NBA?
