As the regular season winds down, the race to make playoffs continues and this time around, 3 teams will be competing for one spot.

The KIU Titans and Livingstone are already relegated while Namuwongo Blazers, UCU Canons, KCCA Panthers, Sommet and Kampala Rockets have already secured their playoff spots.

Mathematically, the JT Jaguars and City Oilers still have a chance of not qualifying but it’s almost impossible for them not to.

The 3 teams who are in the race for the final playoff spot are the JKL Dolphins, Victoria Crocs and the Rezlife Saints.

Of these 3 teams, the Dolphins have the least chance of qualifying.

They have played 20 games, 2 more than the other 2 teams, and have won just 8, same as Rezlife but 1 less than Victoria Crocs.

For the Dolphins to have a chance they need to win both their remaining games and pray that those below them lose all their remaining games.

JKL face the City Oilers on Friday 25th and Rezlife Saints on 30th in their final games.

Victoria Crocs is the team with the highest chances of going through because of these reasons.

First of all, they have 9 wins, one more than Rezlife Saints.

Secondly, in the final 4 games, they face 3 teams who are below them in the standings.

They take on the KIU Titans and Livingstone, teams which have already been relegated, a not scary City Oilers side and their big opponents, the Rezlife Saints.

When these 2 teams met in round one, Rezlife won the game 63-57 and Victoria will be out to get revenge.

The Crocs have to make sure that they win the game against Rezlife because if they don’t, their chances of making the playoffs shimmer significantly.

Rezlife Saints has an 8-10 record and for them, it will be final when they take on the Victoria Crocs because a lot of playoffs hope is dependent on that game.

If the Saints can win, they will overtake Victoria based on the head to head and that could be the difference for them.

They also face the KCCA Panthers, Livingstone and JKL Dolphins but for them, every game is like a final.

If they lose to Victoria Crocs on Sunday 13th, their chances of making the playoffs will become very slim.
