With the 2025 NBL Regular season behind our backs, we take a look at the quarterfinals match ups and some of the facts of those games.

JKL Lady Dolphins vs UPDF Lady Tomahawks

The Lady Dolphins and the Lady Tomahawks will be meeting in the quarter finals in back-to-back seasons.

In 2024, JKL completed the sweep having won 95-59 and 84-57 in games one and two respectively.

In the regular season, they thumped the army aside 102-63 in the first round and 91-65 in the second.

Can UPDF upset the defending champions? That seems very unlikey but sport can surprise you.

UCU Lady Canons vs KIU Rangers

This is a repeat of the 2025 semi-finals which the Lady canons won 3-1.

During the second round of the 2025 season, KIU Rangers is the only team that defeated the UCU Lady Canons, that game ending 64-57.

JT Lady Jaguars vs Miracle Eaglets

This will be the second time the 2 sides are meeting in the quarter finals, the first having been in 2023 in the quarter final which the jaguars won 2-1.

Can the Eaglets get their revenge?

KCCA Leopards vs Magic Stormers

This will be a rematch of the final women’s regular season game which the Leopards won 66-50.

Both sides haven’t gone past the quarter finals in the last 2 years. Who will rise on top?

This regular season has been one of the most competitive and the fact that Victoria Crocs didn’t make it despite having the same record as the number 6 team says it all.

Namuwongo Blazers vs Rezlife Saints

The Namuwongo Blazers finished with a 19-3 record while Rezlife had a 12-10 record.

This will be the third consecutive season that Coach Moses Okwera faces Coach Escodata and the Nam Blazers in the playoffs.

In the second round, the Saints led the Blazers by 4 coming into the fourth quarter but Namuwongo managed to turn tables round.

The Blazers won both regular season game in the fourth quarter. 22-10 in round one and 29-15 in the second.

JT Jaguars vs City Oilers

This will be the youngest team in the NBL taking on the most decorated team in the NBL. The Jaguars are among the two teams that completed the sweep over the City Oilers.

This is expected to be the most electrifying series in the quarter finals.

Sommet vs KCCA Panthers

The KCCA Panthers were the number three team after the first round with an 8-3 record. However, in the second, they won just 4 games which was very underwhelming.

On the other hand, Sommet won just 5 games in the first round but won 9 in the second.

KCCA Panthers is the only team that completed the double over Sommet in the regular season. There is certainly a lot to be settled in the quarter finals by both teams.

Kampala Rockets vs UCU Canons

The Kampala Rockets and the UCU Canons both had a 13-9 record but the Rockets finished as fourth because they had a better head to head record.

In the regular season, the Rockets were the only team to sweep the UCU Canons having won 67-61 in round one and 72-59 in the second.
