The JT Lady Jaguars defeated the Miracle Eaglets 72-58 in game 2 to complete the sweep and advance to the semifinals.
Following their 71-36 defeat in game one. The Miracle Eaglets came with one missio, to win and force game 3, but they couldn’t get past the Lady Jaguars who looked sharp.
In the first quarter, the Lady Jaguars led by as many as 10 points but Miracle cut the deficit to 6 points.
Mariam Namukwaya was the go to person for Miracle for offense and she scored 8 of their 13 points.
In the second quarter, the Eaglets did well on defense for the first 5 minutes.
They limited the Lady Jaguars to 0 field goals in 5 minutes and a total of 2 points.
However, they did not capitalize as they scored just 1 point in that same time.
In the final 5 minutes to the half, the Lady Jaguars turned up.
Shakira Nanvubya scored 9 of their 15 points and the game went into halftime 34-24.
Almost everything the Lady Jaguars touched in the third quarter turned to gold.
They scored 6 of their first 7 attempted field goals in the third quarter.
Mercy Batamuliza went to work, scoring 8 quick points on 4/4 from the field.
They led by as many 24 points halfway through the quarter.
The Eaglets steadied their ship and cut off the Lady Jaguars scoring.
By the end of the quarter, the Jaguars led comfortably 56-40.
Miracle kept chasing the game in the fourth quarter but couldn’t catch up.
They cut the deficit to 9, but they never looked like they would complete a comeback.
The one things that was key in this game was the free throw conversion.
Lady Jaguars scored 27 of 35 attempts while Miracle scored 19 of 23.
Shakirah Nanvubya scored 16 of her 17 attempts and this helped her team a lot.

With this victory, the Lady Jaguars have advance to the semifinals.
They await the winner between the KCCA Leopards and the Magic Stormers
In game one, the Leopards won 67-65 despite trailing for most of the game.
They have a chance to close out the series on Wednesday when the 2 teams meet at Lugogo for game 2.
