The U23 3×3 Gazelles Team will be competing at the 2025 FIBA U23 3×3 World Cup in Xiongan, China.

The tournament started on Wednesday 17th and will be running until September 21st.

Uganda qualified for this after winning the FIBA Youth Nations League Africa 1 that went down in Benin.

The team won 4 of the 6 stops and were crowned champions ultimately qualifying for the world cup.

Additionally, the team participated in 3 stops during the 2025 3×3 Women’s Series.

In their final stop, Uganda managed to win their first game and made it to the quarter-finals.

It is important to note that, in the final 2 stops of the women’s series, Priscillar Nambogo didn’t participate and was replaced by Melissa Akullu.

However, all these players now have a lot of experience and so much is expected of them.
