The JT Jaguars is organizing the first of it’s kind, Kira 8 tournament, which is set to feature the top teams in the NBL and Division One.

Initially, the tournament was supposed to have to top 8 men’s and women’s teams in the NBL but some of them opted out.

Finalists City Oilers, Semi-finalists Sommet and quarter-finalists Kampala Rockets will all not be present in the men.

In the ladies, only the KIU Rangers, opted not to participate and a replacement was gotten.

The top 2 sides in Division One, UMU Flames and UPDF Tomahawks were brought in as replacements from the Lower Division.

Additionally, Victoria Crocs, who missed the playoffs based on head to head record, were also brought in.

In the ladies, the number one team during the Division One regular season, Victoria She Crocs, came in as the replacement.

The teams are expected to play in a round robin first, followed by a quarterfinals after being ranked.

The quarter-finals, semi-finals and Finals will all be played in a best of 3 series.

At the moment, the team prizes or fun activities have yet to be communicated but it is promising to be entertaining.

The tournament is scheduled to tip-off on 28th November and run through the next 4 weekends.
