Game Twos of the FUBA Division One ladies quarter-finals underwent on Sunday 19th at the Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.  

Makerere Sparks won a playoff series for the first time since 2018 after defeating MUBS Lady Jills 53-31 in game 2.

The sparks applied the press and forced Lady Jills into 38 turnovers. As a result, they scored 38 points from turnovers.

Faridah Nakyanzi led the scoring for Makerere with 12 points while Mercy Ageno had 9 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals. Florence Konga scored 2 3-point shots on the buzzer and had 10 points plus 4 steals.

Afua Nabawanga also scored double digits, 10 points and 6 steals plus 4 assists.

Doreen Atukunda was the top performer in this game with 10 points and 20 rebounds for Lady Jills.

Pearl Queens was in business mode for their game 2 against the JT Junior Lady Jaguars.

They registered an easy 74-31 victory to advance to the semi-finals.

Lavin Auma went off for a huge double-double, 18 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.

Daniela Nyamwezi had 13 points while Racheal Winfred finished with 14 points.

Joan Baigulanira led the Junior Jaguars in scoring with 7 points while Patricia Namugambe had 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals.

Kampala University secured a hard-fought 63-60 victory over Legends to level the series 1-1.

These teams went toe-to-toe from start to the end. In the second quarter, Kampala University made a 12-0 run but in the same quarter, Legends made a 13-0 run and it was a 1-point difference at the halftime break.

In the fourth quarter, Kampala University managed to get a 6-point lead and that advantage was enough for them to see out the game.

Pennita Nabakooza was the biggest headache for the Legends and she finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Victoria Nalwanga scored 10 points while Asio Mary Divota had 9 ponts and 10 rebounds.

The usual suspect, Franceas Nabuloobi led Legends in scoring with 15 points and 7 rebounds.

This series is now tied and the 2 teams shall face off in a decider on Friday 24th at YMCA.

The winner in that game shall take on Pearl Queens in the semi-finals.

Victoria She Crocs and the Makerere Sparks will face off in the semi-finals.
