The UPDF Tomahawks once again handed UMU Flames a defeat.

This time around, it was a thorough demolition as the army side won 76-50, in game one of the Division One finals.

The two teams finished as the number one and two seeds in the regular season and were expected to reach the finals.

They both managed to easily make it there but now have to face off in what is expected to be a thrilling a dramatic 7-game series.

The twist in this story is that UMU Flames lost just 2 games in the regular season and both were against the UPDF Tomahawks.

In this game, UPDF showed intent from the get-go and they scored 28 points in the first quarter.

They also did their work defensively and limited UMU to just 10 points in that time.

Inside the first 5 minutes of the second quarter, UPDF outscored UMU 15-4 to take a 29-point lead.

At the halftime break, UPDF led 47-25.

In the third quarter, Torach Brian turned up for the Flames.

He buried 3 3-point shots and scored a staggering 13 points.

However, UMU still trailed by 20 points and it was looking unlikely that they would make a comeback.

The fourth quarter was a walk in the park for the Tomahawks.

UMU scored just 6 points, with just one in the final 7 minutes of the game.

UPDF went on to secure an easy 76-50  victory.
