The 2025 Mountain Dew UG 3×3 tour started on Saturday 15th with the first circuit held at UCU in Mukono.

The circuit saw 16 teams take part, 6 for the ladies and 10 for the men.

A round robin format was used for both the men the women.

The top 4 teams in the men’s category would square off in the semi-finals while the top 2 for the ladies went straight into the finals.

Kampala University, who had lost just a single game in the pool stage, took on Pearl Classic in the semi-finals.

The game went down to the wire but Kampala University managed to win it 18-17.

In the other semi-final, Cole World managed to get revenge against Cyber.

Earlier in the day, Cyber had defeated Cole World 12-9 in the Pool games.

However when it mattered the most, Cole World won the game 14-12 and advanced to the finals.

The finals was as dramatic as they come.

Cole World led by 6 points with less than 3 minutes to go but Kampala University managed to recover and win the game 21-20.

In the dying seconds of the game, Olara Solomon scored a tip in to give Cole World a 1-point lead.

However, Mark Ngobi slipped out, received the ball and delivered the dagger from behind the arc.

That 2-point shot meant that Kampala University had reached 21 points and sealed the deal.

For the ladies, Sirens, led by Bridget Aber, managed to defeat Divas, 16-7 in the finals.

The 2 sides had met in the round robin and Divas got the better of Sirens with a 20-17 win.
