As the NBL Season came to an end with the NBL emerging victorious, the season awards were also held.

The MVPs of the regular season and the season leaders plus the team of the season were named.

MVP

Joel Lukoji Banza was named the both the MVP of the regular season and the playoffs.

He averaged 10.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 steals.

In the playoffs, he averaged 10.8 points, 3.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.27 steals.

Joel Lukoji led his team to an NBL Championship. He was top 2 in steals and assists.

Fayed Baale was the heart of the City Oilers throughout the regular season.

It is safe to say that without him, the City Oilers wouldn’t have made the playoffs.

He averaged 11.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.4 steals.

Edgar Munaba was one of the top contributors for the City Oilers throughout the season.

He averaged 9.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.5 steals.

Franck Nyembo Fataki was a game changer for Sommet.

In the first round, Sommet won 5 of 11 games. When he came, Sommet won 9 of 11 games in the second round.

He was by far the best player in the league from the second round onwards.

Nyembo averaged 17.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.8 steals.

Additionally, he scored 18 of his 40 3-point shot attempts, 45%, which was the highest among people with 10 or more games.

Joel Kayiira was named as the defensive player of the year.

He carried the UCU Canons on his back and we saw his leadership skills increase on and off the court.

He averaged 10.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.7 blocks, 1 steal.
