The FUBA Division One and Two Finals are currently going on.

Surprisingly, in all the three finals, the teams are leading the series 2-0.

The number one seed, UMU Flames, was thumped 76-50 by UPDF in game one.

In game two, they fought but lost the game 59-49 and are now trailing 2-0.

For the ladies, the number one seed, Victoria She Crocs, was underwhelming in game one as they lost 55-36 to Pearl Queens.

Game two went into overtime but Pearl Queens still came out on top, winning the game 63-54.

In Division Two, Berkley won game one 59-46 and dominated the second half of game two to win 64-49.

In all this, one wonders, can we possibly see a comeback?

History

Over the last 3 years, we have seen a lot of comebacks in the finals and the playoffs.

Majority of the teams that have won the first game haven’t necessarily gone all the way to win.

In 2023, KIU Rangers won game one against the JKL Lady Dolphins in the finals.

JKL then won 4 straight games to win the series 4-1.

In 2024, UCU led JKL 2-0 in the Finals but the Lady Dolphins managed to win the next 4 games to win the series 4-2.

Namuwongo Blazers also did the same this year, 2025.

City Oilers won the first 2 games to lead the series 2-0 but the Blazers won four straight to win the series 4-2.

The most historic comeback happened in 2022.

JKL Lady Dolphins led the UCU Lady Canons 3-0 in the finals but the University side managed to win 4 straight games to win the championship.

In each of the last 3 years, we have seen a comeback in the finals.

Could we see another comeback in the Division One or Two Finals?

Game Threes of the Division One Finals will be played on Wednesday 19th at Hamz Stadium.
