In the opener, they fell to Tunisia 21-16 and Peter Obleng scored 9 points in this game. He also picked 5 of the 12 rebounds for Uganda.
With this defeat, the game against Egypt was a must win for Uganda.
That game was close but with less than 2 minutes to play, Mido Taha scored back-to-back threes to make it a 9-point game for Egypt and ultimately win the game 19-12.
For the ladies, they came so close in their first game against Tunisia but were unable to get the job done.
They trailed by 1 point with under 2 minutes left but Tunisia scored the final 3 points of the game to win 20-16.
Tracy Namugosa dropped a game-high 12 points in this game. She also led in scoring with 7 points as Uganda fell to Madagascar 18-15.
