The Miracle Eaglets registered their first win of the season after edging the UPDF Lady Tomahawks 65-61 in overtime at YMCA on 11th February.

The UPDF Lady Tomahawks won their first game of the season, 51-41 against the Magic Stormers and they looked to build on that positive start to make it 2 wins in 2.

On the other hand, Miracle had lost their first game of the season to the Victoria She Crocs and wanted to bounce back to get their first win of the season.

Their hope of getting a first win were boosted by the return of Akello Winnifred who had missed the first game.

UPDF started the game with a 7-0 run but Miracle managed to get back in the game and led the game17-13 after the first quarter. They scored 4 3-point shots in the quarter. UPDF did not score a point in more than 2 minutes to close the first quarter.

In the second half, Miracle held a significant edge and managed to gain a 10-point cushion. They led the game 36-26 at the halftime break.

The Lady Tomahawks tightened up on defense in the third quarter. They limited Miracle to just 4 field goals made in the quarter.  To make it better, they made sure that Miracle score just 4 points in over 7 minutes and they trailed by just 2 points with 3 minutes left.

The fourth quarter was very competitive as both teams were trading baskets. The biggest lead in this quarter was 6 points and that was at the start of the quarter. However, after the first 2 minutes, the lead never went above 3 points.

In the final minute, the game was tied at 58 points and both teams had a chance to win it. However, they were untidy in possession, made turnovers and the game went into overtime.

Miracle scored the first 7 points in overtime and despite not scoring in over 3 minutes, they managed to win the game 65:61.
