Pearl Queens edged the Magic Stormers 43-41 in an unlikely 16-point comeback to make it 3 wins in 6 games. This was a very fascinating game because Pearl Queens scored 0 points in the first quarter but somehow managed to win the game.

Coming into this game, the Magic Stormers had lost their last 2 games and needed a positive result. On the other hand, Pearl Queens had lost their previous game just the day before, 31-41, to the UPDF Tomahawks. They also needed a positive result in order to boost their confidence.

After the first quarter, we witnessed one of the most bewildering statistic this season. Pearl Queens had finished the first quarter scoreless while the Magic Stormers had 8 points.

However, in the second quarter, the Stormers played so much better and scored 17 points while the Stormers scored 21. As thus, Magic Stormers led the game 29-17 at the halftime break.

Tables turned around in the second half and Pearl Queens managed to limit the Magic Stormers to a total of 12 points, 6 per quarter. In turn, they scored 26 points and managed to turn around a 16-point deficit to win the game 43-41.

Facts

Pearl Queens became the first team to score 0 points in a quarter this season. They also made the biggest comeback this season having come from down 16 to win by 2 points.

For the first time this season, the Magic Stormers did not have a player in double digit scores. Their highest points scorer was Mupalia with 9 points.
