At the end of the game, you could tell that something was not right with some of the Magic Stormers’ players. They were unusually super exhausted, huffing and puffing and joyless.
A couple of them were ill coming into the game but managed to play and secured a 59-54 win.
This was the final first round game for the Victoria She Crocs and they aimed to finish strong. However, their Head coach, Roger Serunyigo, Assistant coach, Mark Ngobi and some players were not available to start the game. The other players and Assistant coach arrived as the game was ongoing.
Nonetheless, it was an okay start to the game for the She crocs. They led 14-13 after the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Magic Stormers employed the 1-3-1 defense and often tried to employ the traps. As a result, they forced the She Crocs into 11 turnovers in the quarter and scored 10 points from turnovers.
The Magic Stormers led the game 33-23 at the halftime break.
In the third period, the university side gathered some steam and took the game to the Stormers. Having trailed by 13 points, they managed to cut the deficit to 5 points but most importantly closed the quarter with the momentum.
Despite the start of the fourth quarter being slow for both teams, the Victoria She Crocs managed to turn the tables around and took the lead with less than 5 minutes to play. Eve Grace Namuli replied with a huge 3-point shot and shortly after, Kur Ajah made it a 4-point game.
The Magic Stormers managed to see out the game to secure a 59-54 win.

Victoria She Crocs have closed their first round on a low with 4 straight losses. They managed to win 4 and lose 7 in the first round.
Magic Stormers have registered back-to-back wins for the first time this season and have a 4-6 record. They close their first round with a bout against the Miracle Eaglets on Wednesday 1st April at Rezlife Park in Lubowa.
