Ritah Imanishimwe dropped 20+ points for a consecutive game as 6-man JKL Lady Dolphins eased past the KIU Rangers in a 68-47 victory.
In their previous game, Ritah scored a game-high 29 points and once again, her offense was going to be heavily needed in this game. She delivered massively as she dropped 21 points including 4 3-point shots made.
At the moment, the JKL Lady Dolphins are very thin in terms of player personnel as Evelyne Nakiyingi, Brenda Ekon, Shadiah Nassanga, Melissa Taliba are all not available.
The Lady Dolphins were going to play with just 6 players for a second consecutive game and they had to dig deep in order to secure a result.
After the first quarter, the KIU Rangers led the game 11-9 with 3 3-point shots made. Tamasha Nsubuga scored 7 of the 9 points for the Lady Dolphins.
In the second quarter, JKL made a 13-2 run to take a 9-point lead. The Rangers replied with back-to-back triples and at the halftime break, JKL led 24-21.
It was a shooting clinic to start the third quarter as both teams traded threes. The first 6 field goals of the quarter were all triples, three from each team but JKL took over after that. The made a 20-4 run to lead the game 51-34 with the final period left.
In the fourth, they scored 10 answered points and by the time the KIU rangers woke up, they were down by 27 points. KIU made a 13-0 run but JKL managed to see out the game to secure a dominant 68-47 victory.
