Mercy Batamuliza become the first player (women) to register a triple double in the 2026 NBL as the JT Lady Jaguars eased past the KIU Rangers, 66-40 at the Rezlife Park in Lubowa.
Batamuliza registered 16 points, 17 rebounds and a massive 11 steals to help the table leaders.
The JT Jaguars have been on a roll this season and they were expected to stroll past the KIU Rangers, whose performances have been poor for the large part of the season.
However, this turned out not to be the case as the Rangers put up some resistance although it was short lived.
After the first quarter, the Lady Jaguars led the game 19-13 but tables turned around in the second.
KIU outscored JT 17-10 in the second quarter to take the lead, 30-29 at the halftime break.
In the second half, the JT Lady Jaguars showed who they are. They limited the Rangers to just 10 points in 20 minutes and 16 turnovers.
On tbe other hand, the Lady Jaguars scored 37 points with 16 being points from turnovers.
In the end, it was a 26-point victory although most of the work was done in the second half.
Batamuliza was a key difference make in the second half and she took over. She had 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 steals in the second half alone.
