The 2026 NBL Regular season was one of the most competitive NBL seasons in recent history and it offered so much drama until the final day. On the last day, the Victoria Crocs defeated the UPDF Tomahawks to condemn to relegation while the women’s results did not affect much of the final standings.

The season has been a rollercoaster and it was filled with much many upsets. In this, there have been a couple of top individual performers and we shall highlight a couple of them in this article. Here is my team of the 2026 NBL Regular Season.

Edrine Ekau (1)

Ekau has been arguably the best player in the league and he was rewarded with his first senior national team call up ahead of the world cup qualifiers. He led the league in scoring with an average of 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals. Additionally, he scored the most 3-point shots and was lethal on and off the ball. Given his composure, skill and execution, it was hard to believe that this was his rookie season in the NBL.

Fayed Baale (2)

Baale is one of the most lethal guards in the league and he performed as expected. Fayed was going to play more off the ball given that Joel Lukoji had joined the Oilers and he would be the primary ball handler. As thus, Baale made an adjustment and we saw him become very lethal, knocking down corner threes.

He scored the second most 3-point shots with 56 while he was top 5 in assists with 84. Additionally, Baale averaged 14.3 (top 5) and also had the third most steals with 48. On top of this, he helped the City Oilers to finishing as the number 2 seed, level of points with the Namuwongo Blazers.

Mark Ngobi (3)

Mark has been a scoring machine and helped carry a large load of the Victoria Crocs. Offensively and defensively, he has been key to what they have accomplished as a team this season. He averaged the second most points, with his 16.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.1 steals.

Franck Nyembo Fataki (4)

Nyembo has not hit the levels that we saw him hit while in Sommet but this largely due to the fact that the Namuwongo Blazers have a plethora of stars and one person can’t have the shine. Nonetheless, Nyembo has been a consistent performer and he averaged 13.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.6 steals and had a staggering 54.1% efficiency from the field.

Joshua Duallo (5)

Joshua has been arguably the most productive player both offensively and defensively in the league. He is one of 2 players to average a double-double with 11.3 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2.1 steals and 2 blocks. Duallo has always available for the UMU and he averaged 34 minutes.
