The Road to the NBL has entered the final stretch and there will be one more hurdle; the semifinals. Only 2 teams, who advance to the finals, will earn NBL promotion.

Division One action will be played throughout the week and by the end of Sunday 4th October, the first finalists could be determined. There will be a total of 12 games played across 6 days.

Kampala University vs JT Junior Lady Jaguars

The number one seed, Kampala University will lock horns with the JT junior Lady Jaguars. This fixture looks easy for K.U but there have been shock results. The Junior Lady jaguars have showed that they are not afraid of the moment and it will be interesting to see how they approach this series.

Game one of this series will be on Tuesday 29th at 6:00pm. The second game shall take place on Friday 2nd October at 6:00pm. Both those games shall be played at the YMCA court in Wandegeya. Game three, which could be a decider will be played at Hamz Stadium on Sunday 4th October.

Makerere Sparks vs Seeta High

This is one of the most anticipated match ups. Seeta High was the first team to defeat Makerere Sparks this season and the University side has a score to settle. In the quarterfinal, Seeta shocked many as they swept Nkumba Lady Marines 2-0. On the other hand, Makerere Sparks eliminated St Cyprian with a 2-1 victory.

Both these teams look evenly matched. Makerere Sparks have hopes of making it to the NBL this year. Can they achieve that or will Seeta High quash their hopes?

Game one will be on Wednesday 30th September at 6:00pm. Game two shall be on 3rd October at 12:00pm. Both games shall be played at the YMCA. Game three, which could be a potential decider will take place on Sunday 4th October at 2:00pm at Hamz Stadium.

YMCA Hamstars vs KIU Titans

This is one of those games that one cannot afford to miss. After the first round, the KIU Titans, who had been relegated from the NBL the season before, were the number one seed. They looked like the favorites to return to the NBL. However, the situation changed in the second round.  Despite that, they look like they have an edge over the Hamstars. However, in all this, we will take a quick trip down memory lane.

The YMCA Hamstars needed one win in order to make it to the playoffs. Guess who they beat? The KIU Titans in a game that ended 86-55. Is YMCA that strong? Is KIU Titans that weak? This series will give us the answers.

Game one shall be on Tuesday 29th while Game two will be played on Friday 2nd October. Both games shall be played at YMCA and they will tipoff at 8pm. Hamz Stadium will host what could be a potential decider on Sunday at 4pm.

Watoto vs Berkley

In 2025, these two sides met in the Division two finals. Fast forward to 2026, one of them will be advancing to the NBL. This series is probably the most interesting. This is because Watoto wants to get revenge whilst Berkley is fully focused on getting NBL promotion. Who will come out on top?

Game One shall be on Wednesday 30th September 8pm. Game two shall be played on Saturday 3rd October at 4pm. Both games shall take place at YMCA. What could be a deciding game three shall be on Sunday 4th at Hamz Stadium at 4pm.
