Seeta High defeated Makerere Sparks 50-43 in game two of the semifinals to level the series1-1. The second half performance from Seeta High was good as they outscored the Sparks 31-16. What is most memorable though in the game was that one player bit another’s hand. In her defense, she said that he had been being strangled. This is one of those things that show you how tense the game was. Additionally, Seeta High brought a number of fans and they were in full voice, singing and cheering on their girls.

Coming into this game, Makerere Sparks has won game one 54-52. In that game, Seeta had led most of the way but the Sparks managed to take control in the final minutes to win the game. Seeta knew what was at stake and going down 0-2 was nor a part of their plans.

The game was tied 13 all after the first quarter. However, Seeta’s big man, Moureen Lawmaka had made 3 fouls and that was very good news for the Sparks. One problem had been solved.

The second quarter was low scoring but Makerere took over. They limited Seeta to just 6 points in the quarter while making a 9-0 to lead the game 27-19 at the halftime break.

Makerere maintained a significant lead in the third quarter but their offense was not good. They made just 9 points, all coming from the 3-point line but Seeta managed to keep within striking distance. Kristine Stephanie made 8 of the 12 third quarter points for Seeta.

With about 6:30 left, makerere led by 4 points but from that moment onwards, it was all Seeta High. They close the game with a 14-3 run to win 50-43. What was mind boggling was the fact that Sparks missed 5 of 6 free throws in the final 3 minutes and this was a huge reason as to why they lost the game.
