The NBL Women Game week 16 was yet another episode of the top teams showing their dominance and some individuals making a case for themselves with great performances.

The UCU Lady Canons were the biggest winners in Game week 16 winning all their 3 games comfortably after almost 2 months without action.

They opened their game week with a thorough smashing of A1 Challenge on Wednesday.

They took on Kampala University next who are battling relegation and despite it being a tight encounter with the first half ending 25:28, the Lady Canons just finished the business in the second half swiftly sweeping the K.U Ladies.

Tracy Namugosa turned up big for the Canons with a 21 pts, 10 rebs, 7 steals double double. Bridget Aber was another with 14 points and 15 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 assists.

It was one way traffic in their final game against the Angels who seemed to be out of sorts. The Lady Canons exerted their dominance straight away from tip off and didn’t look back.

Tracy Namugosa was again the player of the moment dropping 18 pts, 9 rebs, 4 ast & 5 stls, with a 75% FG. Bridget Aber also turned up big with 10 pts and 16 rebs. Shakirah Nanvubya and Shillah Lamunu were also in double digits.

Angels’ Catherine Amugusut and Elizabeth Aguti were the only firing power for the Angels dropping 11 and 10 points respectively.

The JKL Lady Dolphins showed why they are the team to be once again easily man-handling the “title contenders ” the KIU Rangers. The Dolphins who have 5 players on the Final 12 man squad for the Gazzelles showed up big and outclassed their counterparts.

Ritah Imanishimwe from deep

The Dolphins didn’t look back, running riot after tip off meaning business. The Gazelles coach Antona was also present and this performance from the Dolphins was perhaps a way of showing why some players deserved selection.

Hope Akello with 9 pts, 13 rebs while Ritah Imanishimwe (15), Flavia Oketcho (11) and Taudenciah Oluoch (12) all dropped double digits.

Perus Nyamwenge was the top scorer with 20 pts, 5 rebs and 6 assists and she was the most alive Ranger on the court.

JT Lady Jaguars survived a Miracle Ravens scare. The Ravens led the game with 34 seconds left, but a lay up from Maimuna Nabbosa and a 3 point jump shot by Captain Rhoda Nagitta which was the eventual winner gave the Jaguars the victory.

Sarah Ageno who dropped 16 points 📸 Fuba

Sarah Ageno was dropped a team high 16 points and 8 rebounds with Amoding Moreen dropping 14 points and 3 rebounds. Ravens’ Alyano Brenda led in scoring though with 21 points including 5 3PM.
