The Rujumba 7’s has been nothing short of drama as some teams have gotten shock defeats while others have gotten the job done as expected.

The Kobs who won last year’s edition, have come in full force winning all their 3 games and booking a spot in the quarter finals.

They easily went past the Sailors, Mongers and got the job done against Walukuba who seemed a tough nut to crack.

The Heathens were also perfect with 3/3. The smacked MUBS but Makerere clubs, Rams and Impis gave them a run for their money having to win it late.

Last year’s winners, Jinja Hippos almost got their record scathed in the final game against when they trailed the Rhinos but were able to turn the game around and get the victory.

The biggest surprise of the day was the Buffaloes handing the Black Pirates their first loss in the circuits. Having trailed 10:0 at half time, the Pirates hoped to turn things around just like they did against Rhinos in Jinja and against Impis in Kitgum, but the Buffaloes defense was very much doing everything possible to ensure the victory and get make the quarter finals.

The Buffaloes also got a shock defeat to the Stallions in their opening game.

Rams qualified for the main cup for the first time after getting that big victory against “land lords” Impis in the opening fixture of the day and closing the day with win against MUBS.

The Plascon mongers also qualified for the Main Cup Quarter finals for the first time after defeating Walukuba and the Sailors in a comeback.
