The Uganda U18 3×3 Boys and Girls have qualified to represent at the FIBA U18 3X3 World Cup August 2024 in Debrecen, Hungary.
The teams, were both representing at the recently concluded FIBA U17 3X3 Africa Cup in Cairo, Egypt where did registered success.
The Girls team finished as the Bronze medalists after heavily defeating Algeria in the 3rd place playoff.
On other hand, the boys couldn’t replicate what the girls did, and they lost out to the same opponents (Algeria) in the 3rd play playoff this finishing fourth.
There were trials for our U18 National teams both boys and girls on 2nd and 3rd December. A total of 25 girls and 38 boys turned up for trials and 20 players were selected from each category and are now currently in a residential camping at Restore Leadership Academy in Gulu from 5th to 10th December.
