There was no doubt in everyone’s minds that the JKL Lady Dolphins would have a field day as they took on Nabisunsa in the game week 11 opener.

Nabisunsa put up some resistance  and by half-time, it was 40-29, well within touching distance for them.

However, during the second half, they were worn out and couldn’t get any baskets to fall.

On the other hand, the JKL Lady Dolphins were still very fresh, making different rotations and giving more playing time to the hungry bench players.

Nabisunsa scored just 15 points while JKL scored 46 in the second half and the game ended 86:44.

During the post-game interview, Nabisunsa’s Coach Bashir spoke about the importance of such games and their ambitions.

“We are using these games as practice for the upcoming National Games (USSSA). Our goal is to make sure we stay in the league and when you’re playing such top opposition, you’re learning” he said.

JKL’s Evelyne Nakiyinji also shared a few thoughts on the game

“Such a game it’s more like practice. We tried out different rotations and the bench guys also got some minutes”
