The City Oilers continue their search for the 10th consecutive championship and as expected, they have advanced to the semifinals of the National Basketball League after completing the sweep against the Kampala Rockets.
The Oilers wasted no time to start game 2 as they scored 20 points in the first 3 minutes 30 seconds of the game.
In that time, they made 4/4 from 2 Point range and made 4/5 from the 3-point range.

The Rockets were also efficient, with 4/6 but a few turnovers cost them a significant deficit.
After the first period, the Oilers led the game 31:19 but the Rockets put up a fight in the second quarter and at half time, the game was 32:45.
In the third quarter, the Oilers offense had a similar efficiency to that in the first quarter and they took the quarter 25:15, making their lead bulge to 23 points.
Despite a competitive fourth quarter, the game had already been won in the third and it ended 69:91.
Talking points
The Kampala Rockets were the underdogs in this series and having been in the relegation battle the entire season, they were perhaps not ready for this stage yet.
The City Oilers, just like discussed in the preview, knew how to take care of business.
Mer Maker who has been their most productive player in the past couple of games set the tone in the first quarter and the rest followed suit.
Their bench also contributed significant points, 33 in total with Ben Komakech and Benjamin Kawumi all making double digits.
