The 2024 NBL Finals have so far had 3 games and despite the KIU Titans coming close, they have been unable to win a game and the City Oilers lead 3-0.

The games have seen different players take over and most recently, Mpiya Juf was on fire in game 3 but his contribution wasn’t enough to secure the win.

We take look at some of the top performing players in the finals so far.

CITY OILERS

Petty Parish had a monstrous game 2 were he scored 34 points including very crucial 3-point shots in clutch time.

He also scored 22 in game 1 and once again, most of his points came when the Titans had gathered steam and he cooled them down.

He leads his team in points, assists and steals with 19.3 points, 3.33 assists and 3.33 steals respectively plus 4 rebounds.

Fayed Baale is the only player who has scored double digits in all three 3 games, and his consistency offensively has been key for the Oilers.

He averages 13.33 points, 1.67 rebounds, 3.33 assists, 1.67 steals.

Titus Lual has been putting up MVP numbers more so defensively and he is undoubtedly the anchor of the Oilers defensively.

He is the only player to have back-to-back double-doubles in the finals and also the only player to register 2 double-doubles in the 3 games.

Titus recorded 6 blocks in game 3, the highest by any player in the playoffs so far and he has had atleast 3 blocks in each of the 3 games.

He averages 9.33 points, 17 rebounds, 2.33 assists, 2.33 steals and 4 blocks.

Special shoutouts

Malual Dier was solid in game one with  15 points, 9 rebounds and 1 assist.

Rogers Dauna also led the team in scoring in game 3 with 14 points but he has suffered a lot due to foul trouble.

KIU TITANS

Joel Lukoji Banza has been the orchestrator of offense for the KIU Titans.

Despite not registering double digits in any of the categories, he has consistently contributed in multiple ways, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him register a triple-double.

He leads in assists (by far) with 7.67 and also averages 7.67 points, 6.33 rebounds and 2.33 steals.

Peter Obleng carried the KIU Titans offense in game 1 as he scored 20 points and was their only player in double-digits.

He is also one of 2 KIU players to have registered a double-double in the finals.

He averages 13 points, 9.33 rebounds, 1.67 assists and 1 steal.

Mpiya Juf took on the exact role in game 3, that Obleng had in game one and he was by far the best player on the court that day.

He led the game in points and rebounds with 24 and 15 respectively in game 3.

He averages 13.33 points, 9.67 rebounds and 1.3 assists in the finals.

Special shoutouts

Edgar Munaba has performed below expected in the series with an average of 9 points and 4.33 rebounds.  He however had a good game 2 were he scored a team-high 14 points.

Ivan Lumanyika also had a fantastic game one despite playing just 16 minutes.

He scored 10 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.
