Nkumba Lady Marines have been very dominant in the regular season and they sealed their number one seed.

The Lady Marines have won 8  consecutive games in the second round and their latest victim was Watoto who they crashed 81-45 on Saturday 26th at YMCA.

The game was a close one at the start and at the end of the first period, Nkumba led 13-11.

The game was a close one and halfway through the second quarter, the game was tied but Nkumba made a 12-0 run in the final 5 minutes and created some separation.

The momentum continued in the third quarter as they made a 9-0 run to make it a 21-point game.

Nkumba exerted their dominance  in the third quarter and Watoto seemed to have no way out.

The Lady Marines scored 29 points while Watoto had 12 but with a 3/18 FG.

By the end of the quarter, Nkumba led by 29 points and the victory was  secured.

Privas Kayenyi and Shalom Jairah Muwanguzi  continued torturing Watoto as they scored all Nkumba’s 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Privas had just 2 points and 9 rebounds plus 3 fouls in the first half but she turned up in the second scoring 20 points and picking 17 rebounds.

Nkumba has secured the number-one seed with their record being 17-2 so far.

Their final game of the regular season will be against Buddo Mystiques on 9th November.

Watoto has won just 1 of their 6  games played in the second round and a walkover against Kibuli.

They are tipped to get the number 6 seed and their next game is against Seeta High on Sunday 27th and Buddo Mystiques on 2nd November at YMCA.
