FUBA Division One action returns on Wednesday 30th with 2 exciting fixtures that promise to be fireworks at the YMCA.

Giants Victoria University and Sommet will be locking horns at 8:00 pm and this game will have major consequences.

In round one, this fixture went down to the wire and Victoria University emerged victorious 78-77.

Sommet will be looking for revenge and given that they are on a 5 game winning streak, they will be looking to keep it alive.

Victoria University had won 9 consecutive games but was defeated in their previous game, 73-62 against Miracle Eagles.

Bouncing back will be on top of their agenda and their coach Rodgers Serunyigo said that the team learned valuable lessons from the defeat.

Victoria has a 19-6 record, while Sommet has a 19-4 record, and both teams still have a chance of finishing as the number one or number two seed.

Diamonds in the Sun and Watoto are 2 mid-table teams who are fighting for a playoff position and, at the same time, to survive relegation.

Watoto has a 10-14 record and with 4 losses in their last 5 games, things are not looking good for them.

However, it is important that they upset Victoria University in round one and also made a huge comeback against UMU Flames in round 2.

Diamonds in the Sun has a 9-13 record but they have 8 games left which could be key.

In their last 3 games, they have registered 2 victories, and getting a win against Watoto will be very huge for them.

Watoto, Diamonds in the Sun, Miracle Eagles,  Tropical Royals and Entebbe Knight Riders are all in the same boat and one of them will get relegated.

A lot is stake for all these teams and tonight’s results will have major repercussions in the eventual outcomes.
