The whole Arena was ecstatic after 18-year old Waleed Ali Omar showed a lot of poise to score a beautiful Basket a few seconds after coming on.

This was the City Oilers’ 93rd point and despite not adding much as the result was already determined, it was big for the confidence of the youngster and brought more joy in the camp.

The City Oilers once again won with ease after defeating Zambia’s Matero Magic 93-73.

Oilers came into the game with a sole goal of defeating Matero Magic as it would guarantee their place in the semifinals.

They led the game 18-15  after the first quarter and they made 4 huge 3-point shots that kept them afloat.

Despite having fewer attempts (12-17) than Matero Magic in the second quarter, capitalized a lot from the free throw line.

The Oilers attempted 14 free throws in  the second quarter alone and that put them in a fairly comfortable spot.

As halftime approached, they led the game 41-33 but Matero was not going anywhere.

The Oilers firepower increased in the third quarter as they dropped 27 points and extended their lead to 16 points.

The City Oilers buried the game in the first 3 minutes of the fourth quarter as they went on an 18-0 run to make it a 34-point game.

Matero responded with a 9-0 run and then Saul Phiri caught fire making all his next 4 3-point attempts but it was already too late.
