Pearl Queens ended Kampala University’s 5-game winning streak after demolishing them in a 67-37 victory.
When these 2 sides met in the first round, the game was decided in overtime but Pearl Queens managed to win it in the end, 67-57.
This was promising to be a very exciting game and it started off in a rather fascinating way.
Kampala University opened the game with a 14-0 run and it was very surprising that Pearl Queens had 0 points for almost 7 minutes.
However, they managed to get some buckets late in the quarter and they closed with the momentum despite being down 21-8.
Kampala University scored just 5 points in the quarter and they all came inside the first 3 minutes.
Pearl Queens made a 17-0 run in the final 7 minutes of the half to take the lead 30-26, into the halftime break.
In the second quarter, Pearl Queens were doing a little bit of everything both offensively and defensively.
They forced Kampala University into 10 turnovers and managed to score 10 points from turnovers.
Additionally, they did well in cleaning the boards with 18 rebounds to 10.
Kampala University did not recover in the second half as they scored just 2 points in the third quarter and just 9 in the fourth.
Pearl Queens enjoyed themselves scoring 14 and 23 in the final 2 quarters respectively to end the game 67-37.

Pearl Queens are yet to lose a game in the second round and could finish as the number one seed.
