Kampala University (K.U) registered a huge fourth quarter in game two of the 2026 Division One semifinals. They outscored JT Junior 24-4 in the final period to win the game 65-43 and take a 2-0 lead in the series.
Coming into this game, Kampala University had won game one 72-58. Despite that big margin, JT Junior had put up a fight but K.U was too strong for them.
In game two, K.U led 15-6 after the first quarter. At this point, many thought it would be a walk in the park for them but that was not the case. JT Junior fought in the second quarter and cut the deficit to 7 at the halftime break.
In the third quarter, they managed to tie the game but Victoria Nalwanga made a layup to make it a 2-point game heading into the final period. From there onwards, it was all Kampala University. They applied pressure and forced turnovers. Their scoring efficiency also went through the roof.
In the first 5 minutes, Kampala University had made 15 points and extended their lead to 13 points. A comeback for JT was not plausible and the University side went on to win the game 65-43.
Top Performers
Rose Musundi registered a double-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Victoria Nalwanga also had 20 points plus 9 rebounds. Pennitah Nabakooza finished with 16 points and 5 rebounds.
Amy Chan Grace registered 16 rebounds plus 9 points. Immaculate Namusooke was the only JT Junior player in double digits and she finished with 10 points.
Game Three
Kampala University now leads the series 2-0 and are 1 win away from the NBL. The two teams will meet again on Sunday 4th October at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo for game three. The university side has a chance to complete the sweep.
