The Avengers have tightened their grip on the National 7s Series trophy after winning their third circuit of the five played so far.
After missing out on the finals of the Gulu 7s on total points scored, the Avengers were more resolute than ever to get the job done at the Kyabazinga 7s.
It was a rocky start on Day one but they managed to secure 20:14 and 17:10 victories against Kitgum Queens and Thunderbirds respectively on day one.
A 46:00 win against the Walukuba Titans meant that they topped their pool and they faced the She Wolves in the semifinals and got a 12:00 win.
The Thunderbirds managed to defeat Black Pearls 17:14 in the semifinals.
The Gulu 7s champions opened the scoring through Patricia Anek who powered through the defense and scored between the poles.
A few moments later, Agnes Nakuya extended their lead and Sarah Nakafeero added another just before halftime to close it off with a 17:00 lead.
The Black Pearls scored their opening try through Emily Lekuru who sliced through the defense and Rita Nadunga added their second a few moments later.
The Pearls tried to get one more but the defense from the Black Pearls held on to get make back-to-back trips to the finals.
The finals it was one-way traffic, with the Avengers dominating the entire game.

The Avengers finished the first half with a commanding 20:00 lead, and Christine Akello scored a hat trick.
Maimuna Nassozi finished with 2 tries while Captain Peace Lekuru scored the other try give the Avengers a 34:00 victory.
The Avengers have now put some gap between them and the Black Pearls who are leading the chasing pack.
