Angels have had a seamless start to the second round after making it 4 wins in 4 games following their latest 57-28 victory against the JT Lady Jaguars.
Angels came into this game oozing with confidence and they managed to get the job done with ease.
The first quarter was tight one with the Jaguars side being within 3 points but after a lackluster second quarter, Angels managed to create some separation to make it a 12point game at halftime.
In the second half, it was all Angels as they kept a significant lead and controlled the game winning it 57-28 in the end.

Likicho Martha has been superb for Angels since her return to the club from UPDF lady Tomahawks. She has scored 56 points in 3 games, an average of 18.6 points per game.
She commented on what has helped her start her life in Division One so well,
“Hard work. I put in extra time, I’m intentional with my sessions and also getting better. I also attribute in to my coaches because they tell you what you’re doing wrong and try to help you rectify. They are more of teachers than coaches” she said
She also commented on what she thinks Angels need to do to make it back to the NBL
“The moment we start playing for each other and being intentional about it, we’ll go back to the NBL. The players are good but there are moments when we have lapses and unfortunately, they cost us a lot. As long as we are playing for each other, nothing can stop us” she concluded
Head Coach Emmanuel Ateng talked about what this perfect second round start means to the team;
“It’s good momentum for us going into other games that are coming but also we are just trying to build on each game” he said.
He also attributed the team’s success so far to number of reasons;
“For the second round, the teams are way better than in the first but feel like we have been doing the right things. We’ve shared the ball more, tried to pick more rebounds, tried to be disciplined and playing for each other”
Angels return to action on 29th September against Seeta High Ladies at the YMCA Basketball Court.
