The 6-time National Basketball League (NBL) champions have found themselves in hot waters after a very poor stat to the second round of FUBA Division One.

The Falcons were relegated from the NBL in 2022 and have been on a mission to go back up but so far, the situation keeps getting worse.
In the 2023 season, they finished were eliminated at the quarter finals by Nkumba Marines and they lost 2 of their best players, Gerald Ayiko and Mark Ngobi for the following season.

Falcons finished in 11th place with a 6-8 record but their start o the second round has seen their playoff hopes wither and they are now looking at surviving relegation.

They have lost all their first 7 second round games, the most recent being 87-63 against the Tropical Royals.

They lost 69-72 and 60-63 to Gulu Hawks and Kampala University, games which most people thought they should have won.

In their remaining 7 games, only one team is below them in the understanding and it will be interesting to see if they can pick up results.

To make matters worse, they had a walkover handed out to them against Entebbe Archers and will be losing very valuable points as a result.

As things stand, Falcons are in a dark spot and they need to do some soul searching.

Their current form shows that they are trending towards relegation and given the tight competition this year, a lot of positive things need to start happening for them and very soon.
