Perhaps the most dramatic game of the weekend was the incredible 17-point comeback by Kampala University (K.U) and the wild ending to the game against Falcons on 21st September at YMCA.

Falcons started the game well, led 11-4 after the first quarter and in the second, they led with as many as 17 points with 2 minutes left.

Kampala University made a 7-0 run to bring the game to within 10 points and as halftime approached, Falcons led 31-19.

Kampala University did really well to stay within striking distance of Falcons and they got their moment as the third quarter winded down.

Falcons scored 0 points in the final 5 minutes of the quarter while K.U scored 14 and they took a 5-point lead heading into the final quarter.

K.U stayed up for most of the final period and they increased their lead to 12, their highest of the game but there was still enough time for a Falcons run.

Falcons made an 11-2 run to tie the game with 40 seconds left but the most impressive person in that time was Bonza Benjamin who hit back-to-back 3 pointers in less than 30 seconds.

K.U retook the lead from the free throw line, Huzaipha Sentongo making both shots but 20 seconds later, Falcons had a chance to tie the game from the line.

Joseph Kavuma missed the 2 free throws and Kampala University went on to win 63-60.

Falcons have lost all their 5 second round games and making it for the playoffs is very unlikely.

Kampala University on the other hand has on 2 of their 7 second round games but also making it for the playoffs is very unlikely for them.

With the news that 6 teams will be relegated this year, both Kampala University and Falcons will be fighting to finish in the 9th or 10th place in order to survive being axed.
