The Makerere Sparks managed to get their second win, 48-33, against Legends on Saturday 5th, completing the double over the 2023 Bronze Medalists.
The Sparks came into the game on the back of a 59-40 loss to table leaders Nkumba Lady Marines but were very intent on returning on winning ways despite a few challenges.
Sparks had only 7 players available as the rest were having tests at school but that did not hinder them from securing the win.
Makerere made a 9-0 run in the first 4 minutes of the game but Legends made adjustments and stopped them from scoring till the second quarter.
It was a very low-scoring first half, 20-13 but the Sparks held the advantage.
The Sparks finished off the game in the first 4 minutes of the third quarter.
Afua Nabawanga made 5 consecutive baskets for Makerere to take the lead to 14 points and the Sparks never looked back.
They also closed the quarter with a 7-0 run to make it a 16-point game as the fourth quarter approached.
It was an even fourth quarter and Makerere walked away with the win 48-33.

Legends have now won their last 3 games but have already secured a place in the playoffs.
They will have back-to.back games against JT Junior Lady Jaguars on Saturday 12th and Seeta High on Sunday 13th.
Makerere Sparks have now won 3 games in round 2, the same amount they did in round one but with 5 games fewer.
They will have a rest this week but will return to action the other weekend with back-to-back games.
they will take on Amazon Rhinos on 19th October at YMCA and Kibuli S.S on 20th at KIU, Kansanga.
